The XMT desktop Supercomputer Prototype: Our Home Grown Computer

The 64-core explicit muti-threaded (XMT) hardware and software machine prototype was built at UMIACS by Prof. Vishkin’s research team. Used in support of research and teaching, published papers demonstrated the unique ease-of-programming and competitive speedups of XMT over commercial machines.
